Hello Archan! We are very glad to have you on Gaia this year! Not only as an artist but also as a great personality. Could you please introduce yourself a bit and also tell us more about you?

Thank you so much for making me a part of this wonderful discussion ! Im truly delighted and thrilled to be a part of the project. Glad to be here!

I am a visual artist and an art director. I specialize in mixed media, and have been working in 2 areas of creativity. 1) Art directing, conceptualizing , creating campaigns, artworks for clients/brands etc. 2) Exhibiting my personal art in galleries across the globe.

Art is just a medium of expressing myself, but I love sharing and inspiring most of all. It has been a wonderful journey until now and I am excited for whats to come!

Please tell us a bit more about your story and which way you chose to become the engaged person you are.

My life has been a roller coaster ride! Coming from a wonderful wealthy family , my hardship started at a young age, when i lost my father. I went into a phase of depression which bounced me back into optimism. I was an entrepreneur before i started creating. after dedicating myself into my family business for 6 years going through a period of massive losses financially and then coming back into profits and expanding my business. But after that I  realized i need to follow my passion and my heart and create. Little did i know that the most amazing times are going to start then. ever since then my experiences have been fabulous. going through of phase of self realization and love, I feel I have been blessed and I feel like taking as many friends and souls with me as possible.

While viewing the amazing art you created for the Gaia project this year one can see you are aware of nature. What was your motivation to join the Gaia project and support it with such a great contribution this year?

I have been following the Gaia project for some years now, but this year looks fantastic, as it has sprung into a more open source community platform where likeminded individuals can come together and be  a part to the cause , and make it more exciting for others to join in as well. The fact that Gaia is just not about making people aware about the beautiful gem this planet is EARTH, but also the experiences we have, and making it in such a beautiful , simple and interactive level, through art, music, culture. Its just so exciting, and different creative souls can be a part of to encourage and share their views , exchange thoughts and move towards a beautiful planet and phase of life.

Gaia is an open source community project to raise awareness for climate change. What is your thought about the open source movement and the power of the community?

I think our daily routine of life and physics makes us so weary and tired in the goal for earning livelihood and handling the daily complex things of our life, that we are dorgetting the most important aspect of how this stunning planet we are a part of is a part of us. We are spiritually so well connected with the soul of earth, that our actions , desires etc. are creating conditions worse for survival. We seem to take this beautiful world for the sake of living here, that we become so insensitive. Even the smallest contribution by each of us could always help majorly to the planet and the environment. but we are too lazy to even think about it.

Our soul is directly connected with the earth, and our thoughts affect it, so what we get back from her as disasters etc is a consequence of our decisions and actions.

Even though climate change is just not an earth related phenomenon because of human beings, its a planetary phenomenon which is going around in the sun, and other planets, we should not take it for granted. We are adding on the pile by emitting carbon, methane, pvc , oil into the atmosphere and making it worse for other animals and species to survive here

Technology has come so far now. The power of technology has given Gaia the power to encourage and motivate, help educate and inspire others to make this planet beautiful.

But we now have technology to harness free unlimited pollution free energy from the sun and the ionosphere. There would be no need to use fuel, or oil etc. to run our ail lives. the power of the cosmos has enough power that it could sustain humans within a small percentage of its resources. all we need to do it open our minds and urge the government and related mainstream scientist etc to start using it. climate change is a part of the big conspiracy so that a certain section of the people benefit from it, by putting the rest of life in stake.

lets come together and demand for free power and energy , so that everyone has free energy, and there is equality in the community, more education and more contribution to the environment in making this planet a stunning powerful positive place.

You come from a beautiful country which really appreciates nature as part of the culture. Is nature important to you and is there something from your life and culture you would like to share with our community?

Our culture is extremely diverse, vivid and deep. The gods we worship have elements of nature as incarnations in their character or form. Like cow, elephant, leaf, lotus, and so many natural elements, beings, plants are a part of the roots of culture in our country. I think it gets naturally embedded into us. We worship animals,and even plants.

Although it is different for different places within India, I find that people in the villages and insides of the country are more sensitive and in love with nature than city people. But with media and awareness there is a change coming about and there are certain people who are coming ahead and doing their bit, like recycling, planting tree, keeping the city clean, using cars less as possible etc.

One of the things I have been doing on a regular basis is telling and asking people to stop honking for no reason. there is a serious habit by people driving to honk the horns of their cars, which is very disturbing and causes noise pollution. So whenever I am on the roads and someone near me does that, i tell them to be polite and stop this habit. I think I do it to 2-3 people at everyday and Ive seen results that they stop honking for a long time after that.

I think that every persons contribution is massive right now!
